The #WhatAboutWeddings Campaign highlights awareness and the critical need for assistance and clarity for the £14.7bn, seasonal wedding sector, as it navigates the issues and complexities of pandemic restrictions.
Make your voice heard…
I remember when our only concern was the rain. We didn't worry about standing close or kissing, or grinding on the dance floor. Buildings were filled with loved ones from near and far. Now we're worried about how to pay the bills #whataboutweddings @BorisJohnson @RishiSunak
The #WhatAboutWeddings movement is campaigning for case studies. If your special day has been impacted by Covid-19 we implore you to fill out the form which will help give us further leverage in getting support for our industry 💕
@RishiSunak #WeddingIndustry would very much like to be involved in your #PLANFORJOBS scheme.
What do WE have to do to secure one of these spots at table to DISCUSS our sector, need for support & our #viablejobs which usually bring £14.7billion to @hmtreasury
@theJeremyVine Can it be put to Government just HOW can they plan #G7Summit for June while they keep the Weddings & Events sectors shut down with no guidance.
How is their event in any way different to ours? Covid does NOT know the difference #whataboutweddings
@BorisJohnson No amount of words can voice how difficult, frustrating & heart breaking last 10 months has been for the #WeddingIndustry & couples.
Clarity & honesty needed NOW, so people can make plans going forward, constant LIMBO is hard!
@RealDeniseWelch Thing with #weddingindustry though is we haven't been allowed the lights on for 10 months. Maybe tiny small pockets where we could work by candlelight , but on the whole this Government has turned lights off permanently for thousands of Biz. #whataboutweddings
@LBC @Jacquimooney17 @LBC instead of this it would have been really helpful for you to do an article or discussion on the dire situation of the wedding sector and our need to more support and a roadmap for opening? #Whataboutweddings
We need the media to start hearing what's actually happening.
@BBCNews @itvnews @SkyNews @Channel4News
@piersmorgan It is shameful @piersmorgan but yet again media focus on reporting on that with shock value, while maybe press/ news should consider covering this Governments abandonment of any support for #weddingsuppliers & provision of roadmap for both them & couples #whataboutweddings
If you do 1 thing today take some time to look at threads #whataboutweddings #standupforweddings
May not be #latestfashions #celebcrush #scandal #trendingtopic #breakingnews but its a lot to do with peoples lives with no #roadmap or #support for nearly a YEAR!
